vice verses

Today, my buds, Jon, Tim, Chad, Jerome and Drew (collectively known as Switchfoot) have released Vice Verses, their 8th studio album. The thematic core of Vice Verses is that “every blessing comes with a set of curses” and according to them, this idea is the polarity of life.

I’ve made my mistakes
I’ve seen my heart cave in
I got my scars
I’ve been to hell and back again

Born for the blue skies
We’ll survive the rain
Born for the sunrise
We’ll survive the pain

If you know me, you know I love Switchfoot, so my week is off to a great start, as they have already dominated my playlist. Have a sample look/listen to the title track, “Dark Horses” and then get your copy of Vice Verses, on sale everywhere.

Music truly is one of life’s greatest gifts…no matter what we are going through, thinking or feeling, music let’s us know we aren’t alone. And Switchfoot, really is a great band. They are raw and transparent and it seems like they live what they sing.

Love this track!!! They won me over with “We’ve been down but we’ve never been out…” That’s a chest thump and a fist in the air from me 😉 (lol). Can’t believe I didn’t know about these guys…they’re up my alley (music style)…thanks for posting Bivins 😀

    P.S.
First Ben Harper, now Swtichfoot…maybe I should borrow your mp3 player and see what other goodies you’re hiding in there (lol).

The album is AWESOME. Between writing the The Wedding and Disaster of Felona Mabel and listening to this album non-stop, I’m in full reflective deep-thought mode. Watch out. Some good blog entries ahead!
