October 1, 2010 is a milestone day for me. While my debut novel, PIOUS, has enjoyed some advance success for a couple of weeks online, the official release date is today. Next week, my book will begin to trickle into stores across the nation and I will begin to do store signings, interviews, and festivals to initiate a grassroots campaign to drive PIOUS to bestseller status.
I love music and while I was writing PIOUS, my creativity was inspired by certain artists over and over. In the acknowledgment section of my novel I mention them. Here I publicly echo that sentiment.
Switchfoot, Nina Simone, Calexico, Ben Harper and Bear McCreary, I constantly reach to write like your melody. Thank you for your song.
