true

“There are 10 kinds of people – those who understand binary code and those who don’t.”

It’s 11-11-11 today. I’m not into numerology or anything like that, but I think it’s pretty cool all the same. As a developer, I write code in object-oriented syntax and as a boolean value, the number 1 is considered “true.” So to me, 11-11-11 means that today is really really really true. Judge me, if you like, but I’m comfortable enough in my masculinity to show my nerd side. True dat.

111111is also is binary code for 63. How awesome would it be if today is your birthday and you also turn 63. I want to meet that person and have a drink with him or her.

I say all that to say that today is a day of greater truths. So go forth in that. Say what you’ve been wanting to say for some time, but say it in confidence and say it in truth. And you shall be free. True.

” I write code in object-oriented syntax and as a boolean value…” Um, speak English. Lol!

    Be True
    Thou must be true thyself
if thou the truth would’st teach
Thy soul must overflow, if thou
    Another’s soul would’st reach!
it needs the overflow of heart
To five the lips of speech.

    Think truly, and thy thoughts
    shall the world’s famine feed.
Speak truly and each word of thine
    Shall be a fruitful seed
Live truly, and thy life shall be
    A great and noble creed.

I too had been thinking 11.11.11 was a pretty cool thing and thinking it should have some
kind of significance, and now thanks to you it does. 🙂

Funny. You say “true”. I was thinking of “on.”
    Oh it’s ON now!
Like Kanye would say: “Turn up the lights in here baby! Extra bright, I want y’all to see this!”
All lights are green. Time to launch out of the gate.

It IS on. But it’s been on for some time now. I think I need new lightbulbs.

Boolean….that’s what I call my daughter when she starts reading out of The Book of Actin’ Up….wait….no…i call her a hooligan. Nevermind. (But “Boolean” does sound like something that may require institutionalized rehabilitation of some sort…)
