November is also known to a few hundred thousand people as Movember. Mo is phonetically referring to mustache and “real men” all over the globe are growing them this month as a display of solidarity of educating the masses on men’s health.
The truth is, men are pretty indifferent when it comes to their health, in comparison to women who publicly address their issues and are proactive in preventative measures. The ignorance of less-than-real mean leads to more issues with sickness and disease and shortens our lifespan and quality of life significantly.
This month, I’m joining the mass of men that are raising money to raise the levels of awareness, understanding and funding for the support of male health issues, like prostate cancer, among others. I’m asking you to donate to my cause, both financially and by sharing this post with others (men and women). The money goes to The Prostate Cancer Foundation, Livestrong and the Movember Foundation to fund research, promote awareness and support programs that address the unmet needs of male cancer survivors.
Real men accept responsibility and real men show up. You can’t show up if you’re dead. Real talk. Thank you for supporting Movember.
